Forest,
I have been in similar but not as bad situations, so I understand the incredible difficulty. Does your doctor know the housing situation? Did they offer any suggestions or resources? You would think a doctor who treats mold patients would have some suggestions for patients who have nowhere to go.
The paradigm change website has a lot of information, if you can look for resources there. They also list mold Facebook groups. All the groups seem to be on Facebook. You can try to join some of them and see if you can get some ideas or help that way.
Here are some brainstorming ideas for a shelter, even if it’s temporary:
- a clean garden shed or metal building
- garage or garage apartment
- car, truck, van, or bus
- boxcar, camper, tiny house
- cabin at a campground (check for mold)
- tent
If you know anyone who has any of these or has land that you could squat on or lives in the country and would let you camp in their yard and use their bathroom.
Local churches, charity organizations - call and ask for help
Welfare office - they should have a list of local organizations that help people in need
The fact that you have difficulty being upright and taking care of basic needs should qualify you for a nursing home or assisted living.
