Dapsone and bart

I am not sure it has been tested in vitro,

I think it has some activity. Dr Jaller told me he likes it for bart.

But Horowitx says most of his dapsone treatment failures have bart - so its prob not a hugely effective drug like rifabutin.

i see a lot of people interpreting Dr H's accounts of treatment failures of his dapsone protocol in people with bart to mean that dapsone does not work for Bart - but that is i think a misinterpretation.

i think there are studies showing it is active for bartonella - however in people with lyme and bartonella - its a clear fact treatment with all antibiotics protocols have a very high failure rate - even after long durations (2+years)
so we should not be at all surprised if a couple of months of a combination with dapsone in it has a high failure rate in people with bart and lyme

its just consistent with how hard chronic bart and lyme together can be.

Dr H says the same thing about babesia and lyme - and those people also failing his double dapsone protocol.
