Lyme Mexico in Puerto Vallarta

I just had an hour long phone consultation with Dr M from Lyme Mexico.
He was very nice and thorough as he went through symptoms and my lab results.

He did completely disagree with my LLMD’s decision to put me on azithromycin (and doxy later); in his perspective, the bacteria can become too easily resistant and simply grow stronger, plus lead to gut damage. I admit, I’ve had that same concern too. However, he does use IV antibiotics in their clinic, which I thought was more intense for the body.

I’m waiting on their recommendations for treatment. He explained a four step approach with antifungals, biofilm disrupters, and other interventions. They seem to consider all the aspects of Lyme and Co. I’ll post his recommendations when I receive them.

Has anyone gone to this place or heard of success stories?

How long is the treatment?do you continue treatment after you go home?

I’m still waiting on the cost. I anticipate it being A LOT, so I don’t know how feasible this is. But I am so impressed with how many systems are targeted in this approach. He took everything I shared, symptoms and test results, into consideration.

After reading all this it seems like a very extensive plan but I hope this does not come off as negative but it seems like it’s packed with things that don’t seem common in bringing people into remission and you’ll only be receiving two different antibiotics. The biofilm stuff may be promising but the rocephin isn’t that much help for someone who is chronic(used it myself, it just kills the spirochete). As with ozone, I don’t know people who have healed from Lyme and co with ozone. DSF may be good for just lyme biofilm, and you’ll be doing other biofilm things there but I don’t see anything about cysts. I would just be weary about this protocol not addressing babesia, Bart and/or the multi level approach of abx

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. I’m definitely trying to decide what to do and it’s a bit confusing because the doctor specifically mentioned targeting babesia and Barts.
I have had some positive experiences with ozone in the past, so I know it does help some of my system. How much it would do with a long treatment would be another story.

What do you think about the protocol he put together for my spouse? It’s fairly similar but he’s made these changes:

Rocephin and Metro alone isn't going to do enough at all for Lyme+CO and the hyperthermia and Plasmapheresis will do some for the immune system but it doesn't seem to offer treatments that will lead to long term healing, it'll be a short term healing if it does work somewhat. There is just not enough coverage for the actual bugs in these protocols you listed from this doctor. Stuff is either tacked on that seems irrelevant to healing and on the actual killing side (abx, herbs, antimalarials) there isn't nearly enough. You mentioned you're taking Zithromax which is a good drug for Lyme and co, it just has to be paired with other things to work more effectively. The Mexico plan just seems flimsy to me and could only offer short term healing for I'm assuming a steep price as these types of places charge

Thank you so much for your input. It’s the short term healing that I’m most concerned about. That’s been our case for years; lots of things “work” but then wear off pretty soon.

So now I’m just confused what to do. If not these approaches, what else is there left to do in conjunction with the antibiotics? These are all the therapies I know( we’ve done some of Buhner’s approach with no noticeable difference.
My LLMD has also suggested plasmapheresis and a few other IVs but that’s it.

The most noticeable difference and healing stories I’ve heard from people that I know is a treatment that uses abx/herbs while attacking the cyst and biofilm of these infections. I currently go to the Jemsek clinic and I’d recommend checking it out, it doesn't have outrageous fees compared to other LLMDs and they are knowledgeable about how to treat and lead people into lasting remission

Thanks guys, this really helped me out. I think it’s going to be pretty impossible to go to Lyme Mexico because I will almost certainly need repeated treatments and it’s so expensive to begin with.
I am curious if they offer any à la carte options; Im waiting on a price list and will ask my LLMD.
I’m just discouraged as everyone feels from time to time at the overwhelming nature of this whole thing.
