Does a Reaction to a Treatment Really Mean it is Helping?

well we know bartonella has two cell walls and requires such treatment, we also know borrelia can encyst in round form when it feels threatened. also we know whether herbal or abx there is a minimum concentration in blood needed to obtain bactericidal levels .
many herbs are for symptom relief there's probably only a few that actually act on spirochetes and gram negative bacteria. we also know borrelia can drill and hide in low vascular places such as connective tissue . for this reason i caution not using full dosing however one must support detox and organs enough to handle the dieoff ; this is why most people titre up . people add one thing every few days to see starting a lot at once is hard to pinpoint what's giving relief where etc ... keep us posted and good luck

also fwiw my cold hands and livedo went away with biofilm treatment using chanca piedra and bee venom . systemic enzymes (lumbrokinase) on an empty helped too

- In a nutshell - No. Not necessarily.

“My question is if I have a reaction to any of this, does that necessarily mean there is an infection?”

- Probably but not definitely.

“Would any reaction really mean it's hitting an infection?”

- Probably but not definitely. “Hitting” doesn’t necessarily mean killing or successfully treating, though. Others have said here, and I agree, that herbs tend to irritate parasites rather than kill them. I tolerated and benefited more in a fraction of the time treating parasites with Ivermectin and Alinia than with herbs.

Would normal people have this reaction to this treatment?

Would people sick with autoimmune or other illness but not Lyme/co have this reaction to this treatment?

Some reactions can be from allergies, sensitivities, MCAS, immune dysfunction. If the reaction is telltale, then it’s easy to figure out - scratch marks appearing after taking houttuynia or other Bartonella specific treatment, air hunger after taking cryptolepis or babesia specific treatment. If it’s hives, redness, itching, swelling, nausea or vomiting especially if within an hour after taking something, then it’s likely to be allergic reaction. If it’s ridiculous sensitivity to even tiny amounts of something or to anything and everything, then MCAS would be highly likely.

I remember when I first started treating, I reacted in some way to most things. However, many things I found I was okay with after the initial reaction and backing off. This was the case with NAC and Vit C. I was very toxic at the time, too. It seems to me the more sensitive people are the more likely they are either very toxic from something, cannot detox well, or they are overly sensitized to the toxins in their bodies and/or their environments.

Speaking of only a few herbs used to help symptoms or get the job done well Dr. M in Ct was telling me Japanese knotweed works better than any of the herbs for the infections. I told him I can't take sida acuta because it acts more as a stimulant than anything, bummer, and he like honestly we don't even know what sida acuta I'd hitting in there or killing off 🤷‍♀️ also heard instead of taking oregano oil to take oregano leaf instead. Seems antibiotics make us more messed up than before we started treatment. I will not ever go bk on abx if it's up to me. They've done so much damage .
