For those here who don’t know - I am on Maintenance -which is taking abx for one week and then several weeks off.
It started with 3 weeks off ( in 2019 ) for several months and then started to increase the weeks off slowly over time.
I am doing the protocol next week - it’s been 7 weeks off.
I’m feeling pretty good right now but I don’t want to push it.
I currently have intermittent upper back pain that sometimes radiates to my left hand. This area of my body is where it all started.
The arm and hand pain is generally not too bad.
When it is really bothering me my husband presses his thumb into a muscle/tendon behind my left shoulder blade and it is instant relief.
My other symptom is my short term memory deficits.
I had such a good short memory prelyme - and although it has improved - it’s not come back totally.
At this point I don’t think it ever will.
Will post how I’m doing on the meds.
Lots of things cause memory loss and brain fog, and I learned that the hard way through detoxing . Detoxing also removes heavy metals from our bodies while we are removing toxins as well which always isn't good. With much research, I realized looking back through my test results how high my copper and iron levels were before i got so sick. I realized upon detoxing for lyme bart that I wasn't only removing toxins bt inwas also removing the heavy metals, the essential ones our bodies need to function such as copper. FYI for anyone that doesn't know, copper deficiency or low levels will give you the worst brain fog ever !!!. It cause numbness, tingling, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, etc. People often mistake it for there lyme or co infections symptoms. Copper is syppose to be between 60-115 I believe for us adults. Mine used to be 113 which was ok now it's at a 63 go figure. We really need to be careful when detoxing as we are removing essential heavy metals we need also. Early gray or white hairs also a symptom of needing more copper. You should look into and see if it helps your brain fog. Magnesium helped so much as well as going going bed by 8:30 /9 pm. If I went to bed any later I'd suffer worst brain fog. Last bt not least diet change was like a life saver. I stick to chicken, fish, white rice and certain veggies and oatmeal and take out most processed and packaged foods. I had a test done to test my amonia levels and they were actually fine which I though memory loss was due to too much amonia bt nope. Also did a yeast test and normal too. My llmd suspects black mold toxicity. Tbh my memory loss was better bt once exposed to black mold it came back worse. If you don't mind me asking why don't you go all natural no abx?? I feel like antibiotics ruined my body and brain and made everything worse!!! You're probably better off rebuilding your stomach which is connected to your gut .I've had many wierd "pains" that my chiropractor could never fix and my issuenwas mostly bart. Sorry to high jack you post kind of bt thought you might want to look into some of these things. Maybe the things I've mentioned you heard already lol .
