Thanks saraeli, I have tested for mold and my levels were decent, but I did a number of months with binders anyway and noticed nothing so I don't know if it's a huge issue for me...but always good to keep coming back to for sure, I know testing is limited.
I wouldn't necessarily describe what I had as electrical zaps, it's just hard to describe and that's the closest I could come. It was more like muscle spasms with a bit of a zap-y quality to them, that happened in quick succession. But no, there wasn't an identifiable trigger, it happened as I was lying down in bed. When I first got sick, my neuropathy was worse at night like this so I do wonder if it might be neuropathy.
Glad to hear you are 90% recovered from that, astroman
I realized today that yesterday I also forgot to take my prucalopride (motegrity) for my migrating motor complex. Typically I can go maybe one or two days without it and then I flare, so I suspect that this had something to do with what was going on (but maybe not the entire reason because I've never had this response). It seems that my MCAS goes crazy if I don't take a motility agent, and muscle twitches and tremors have definitely been connected to my MCAS, just not quite like this before. But it does make sense I think, particularly if I'm killing bugs and they are hanging out in my digestive tract and not being moved along, my mast cells would probably flip out from that. That's my armchair theory, anyway, not sure if that's how it works but I've heard some folks talk about
it like that when urging folks to take binders. But there are probably many explanations.
