Bronchitis? Steroid inhaler?

Recently came down with some respiratory stuff.

Seems like a nice case of bronchitis now 5-6 days in. O2 is fine. Still pretty sick but feeling like I may have peaked.

Considering going to urgent care but I’m wondering if a steroid inhaler would be immune suppressive with Lyme/co?

I did a new treatment somewhat recently (haven’t posted about this quite yet because I want to see it through before debating the science behind it) and definitely don’t want to disturb overall immune function.

they are cortico steroids so i would say yes to the systemic immune suppressing effects

will likely be dependent on dose though - so you may be able to work out roughly how much vs standard dose of cortisone

not sure i would see it as worth the risk of a lyme flare

if it bronchitis - that's bacterial isn't it - would abx not be more appropriate ?

To my understanding bronchitis could be viral, bacterial or fungal.

Said treatment I spoke of recommends not continuing antibiotics. They ask you not to take any actually (unless crisis of course). And if it’s viral/fungal it wouldn’t matter much anyways.

Probably gonna hold off on the inhaler then.. also found stuff suggesting adrenal side effects. Not in the mood for more problems lol I don’t know if I buy into the whole retracement thing some people talk about.. but not 100% sure there’s not some major herx tied into this. Lots of weird stuff happening within the “illness”. For like 36 hours my neuro inflammation was the lowest it’s been in 3 years.
