Hi Kissfan,
Have you been diagnosed with Clusterheadache? I know many CH sufferers that use oxygen (I even use it myself) with great success.
To get the best effect from O2 you need a non-rebreather mask and you need to use the O2 at a flow rate of 15 litres per minute. The general rule of thumb is to stay on the O2 until the pain has gone and then for a further 5 -10 mins to ensure that it has gone and to prevent a rebound attack.
If you are given a mask with holes in, tape up the holes, do not strap the mask to your face just hold it there with as good a seal as you can. I wish you well with this, please let me know how you get on?
take care

Hi Kissfan,
Don't give up where the oxygen is concerned. Unfortunately I do not understand the system in the USA but I know a group of clusterheadache sufferers who do!!!!
Try this site, they offer a lot of information and support to CH sufferers:- www.clusterheadaches.com
You may have to copy and paste this link. This is a USA based group with an understanding of what you go through and how to handle obtaining the meds that you need via the correct channels! I hope you find some relief soon!
take care
Ann
