Hey everyone,
I am kindof at my witt's end with treatment options. Between my neurologist in DC, the Diamond Headache Clinic and the Jefferson Headache Clinic I have done 5 rounds of IV DHE, IV Lidocaine (for 9 days), IV Ketamine (5 days), and have tried proabably at least 75 different drugs over the last 2 year and 8 months with this daily chronic headache with migraine. I just wanted to know is if anyone has tried something else? I've heard of the possiblity of being put into a Ketamine coma, but I don't know how likely that is to happen. The IV lidocaine worked somewhat, but it only made me feel sortof human for about a month and half, and I was still taking pain killers (just not narcortics). I am now on Namenda, which has had some results in the headache community, but I don't think it is doing much for me. I'm really not interested in Botox and I think I am going to call an acurpunturist tomorrow. But beyond that, I have no new ideas. And over the last couple of months, I've been so tired and in so much pain that I can barely get out of bed. I guess my biggest problem is that if it works, it only works for a short time before it stops working. Or I have such server side effects that I can't even take the drug. Sigh... I guess I am just looking for what has worked for other people outside the "box."
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I hope y'all feel better or have a better day tomorrow.
Peace.
Michelle
