Has anybody suffered a migraine stroke? I had one back in 1989 and was left with permanent visual impairment. I suffered a severe migraine this weekend and my vision has further deteriorated. I went to the hospital and they rehydrated me but i think the damage has already been done. I don't really know what to do next and wondered if anybody could offer help or advice please!!!!

Hi Kobe and welcome to Healingwell!

I have actually had a minor stroke as result of migraines which left me with a loss of feeling on one side. My doctors and I keep an eye on things but I think we all need to know what the signs of stroke are and keep in touch with our doctos. Have you seen your MD since this last episode? I definitely would be heading straight to the doctor- As the American Stroke Association's motto puts it: "Time lost is brain lost."

Thanks for your reply.

I have recently visited my GP and was able to get a CT scan done yesterday - the results won't be in until Friday. I also have an appointment booked with an Opthalmologist for next week and am trying to get in with a Neurologist (was given a date in November but do not want to wait that long).
