Hello I am new to this forum
I have been having a rough few months lately. I am 26 years old male average weight, bout 5'9. My problem first began about 3 maybe 4 years ago. I started getting this strange poke almost like a sting in the top right side of my head. It had only happend that one time so I thought nothing of it but over the years it began happening more. But, always in the same spot. The pain's were very transient, gone in flash much like the so called ice pick headache. Well just this year in about mid-august the pain started going crazy. Every day for months somtimes 30 times a day i was gettting stung in my head what felt much like a needle. Naturally freaking out, I went see a neurologist, and had and MRI/MRA with and without contrast both of which came back normal. The pains now don't quite fit the ice pick head ache because somtimes the pains will last for hours or even a dull ache or pressure in the spot. I never had migraines growing up. Headaches were normal as they come now and then. I have tried a few meds that are supposed to help like indomethacin which actually the next day gave me a real pounding migraine. now on top of that the pain have been changing locations. On the left side on the right. Also i have been getting pain around my eyes, by my brow inside my eyes like aching or just like a dull pain. Also i have developed what seems to be ghosted images in both my eyes. I dont feel I have somthing life threatening anymore, but what could cause all this? the match some pretty scary things but my exams from the ompthamologist and neurologist and radiologist says there are no abnormalities. Has anyone experienced this? The doctors seem to know what they are talking about. But what am I to do? I been looking for answers and im running out of money being i have no insurance...any advice and support would be most helpfull...anxiety and stress are what im being told and treated for at the moment with clonzepam. Sorry for the long post. I don't know has anyone had success ridding similar chronice pain in the had problems. these are non organic pains according to multiple specialists...
