You've already received some great suggestions for your headaches. You can also look into alternatives such as basic muscle relaxation. Stress is a really common trigger to headaches. So although lights and sound might be contributing factors, you might find that in combination with other things (e.g., stress, school, anxious feelings), you are more likely to experience pain. By dealing with underlying emotions, you might find that your headaches are improved as well.
Try deep breathing a few times a day. Breathing deep into your belly and filling up your lungs as much as possible. This helps to increase air flow, and relax your body and muscles. Try attention focusing - when you start becoming worried about the lights and sounds, try focusing your attention on something else completely. If you're not thinking about the things that bother you, they will be less likely to trigger your headaches.
If you think that there might be some underlying factors that you're unaware of that are causing your headaches to start, it might be helpful to start tracking them in a headache diary. I've been working with a team of researchers for the past two years to develop an iPhone headache app. This is currently being tested, and if you'd like to try it out, please feel free to check out our website for more information and/or to sign up for our study (www.crfh.ca/whi).
