Hello everyone,
I am new to this board, but not new to Migraines. I have suffered what I would call "typical" migraines over the last few years. They all started after a total hysterectomy i had due to way to many female issues. I am 38 and was put on vivelle dot, hormone replacement.
On Aug. 4th, this year, i started with a mild headache, then went to fill my frova at walgreens and promtly ran over the drive thru lane dividers. Kinda thought it was weird, but didn't really think much of it. Little bit later, i took my kids to camp and got lost comming home twice, where i turned the wrong way and it took a second or two to realize where i was going.
I got home and my sister in law came to take me to the ER. When she got to my house she looked at me and said "what is wrong with your eye?" Come to find that my left eyelid was drooping considerably.
At the ER i was seen by a Neuro in my group. They did CT, MRI, and Spinal tap. ALL came back normal so they ruled it migraine. They added Depokate. I was relased after 3 days. The problem is that this headache has not gone away. I have at the very least a bad headache each day, i have taken probally between 10-15 frova to stop oncomming migraine in this last month. I have started to go down hill again, eye droops for a few minutes then goe back to normal, left side of face has pins/needles and my headache is worsening each day over the last two to three days.
I saw my neuro yesterday, and he was sorta like, "well, everyting came back fine, it's just a migraine" I wouln't worry was his suggestion....he added a fast prednisone taper, and sent me on my way. I really don't know what to do. I can't eat, im sick to my stomach, dizzy, tons of eye lights, ect, have not slept a wink in two nights now....any ideas???????
