PLEASE HELP!! Dizziness and Photophobia that has been lasting over 5 weeks w/ No headache.

I am crying as I am typing..that is how desperate I am. I was diagnosed with migraines at 16. It started with numbness. I would not be able to feel my body, dizziness, photophobia, confusion,etc. Sometimes I would get so confused I could not get my words out right. These episodes would last for a couple months, not just a day. What I find odd is that I rarely had a headache with these attacks. How can I have migraines without a headache. As I got older my attacks would be less frequent and would not last near as long. 5 weeks ago I got that feeling again. I guess you call it an aura. Got numb, confused, dizzy. This happened out of the blue. Since then I have had non-stop dizziness. Not sure if that is even how to describe it. It is almost as if everything around me seems larger, especially if I look out in the distance. If I focus on something upclose it is not that bad. It is very scary. I get disorientated when I go in any stores. Thank god I work at home or I would have already lost my job. My hands stay ice cold most of the time, but my arms will be warm. My ears have been ringing nonstop. I have periods of tingling and numbness in my toes, ankles, head and face. Could this be a migraine attack? Please someone help me. I have no insurance and don't know what to do. I can't take it much longer. I am at my wits end.

Thank you so much for your kind and considerate reply. I definitely feel trapped without insurance and as we all know neurologists are terribly expensive. I know my family physician would just refer me to a neurologist. I am going to look into getting some sort of insurance this week. Something to at least get me in the door. I have not had a bout of migraines this extreme for years, so hopefully I can be treated for migraines whenever my insurance kicks in. If I can find one that I can afford :(

I actually bought a pair of dark sunglasses today and that did help me some outside. Walking or moving makes the dizziness worse. If I can find suitable lighting and just sit still and focus on something, it is not as bad. This is torture for me because I am usually a very outgoing, outdoorsy type person hence my nickname.

The only thing that I can think of that has been different for me was that I suffered a miscarriage and shortly after I started experiencing this hell which has consumed my life. I am wondering if my hormones did not trigger this episode. I have been experiencing patches of numbness on my scalp and it almost feels like fingers tickling from under the skin. I guess tingling would be a good word. Rubber band feeling around one ankle. A sick feeling in my head..not really migraine caliber pain..just a sickly feeling. Hard to describe. Thanks for listening. I just hope and pray each day that I wake up that I will feel normal again.
