Hi, Once when I was shopping I got very dizzy and saw everything going round. I rushed to emergency and they told me that I had an attack of vertigo. I threw up several times too. After 3/4 days I was normal again. But a month later this sensation came up again and it was very bad. I had to stay 4 days in bed and when I tried to walk a little bit I had to throw up! I talked to an ENT and gave me some medication and also some exercises to do to help me overcome it. But yet again another month and another attack! I talked to another ENT who examined me for nerves and everything was OK and told me that I had Positional vertigo. He also suggested to stop taking the medication because the positional vertigo should go away on it's own. He recommended to exercise more like going walking etc. But still I felt light headed EVERY SINGLE DAY. And yet I had several other attacks, but they weren't as bad as before. I talked again to the first ENT and told me that it is Vestibular migraine, a migraine without the headache itself, but it effects the inner ear. Since he is considering it as a migraine he suggested to stop eating several foods like red meat, mature cheeses, red wine, choclates and spices especially curry. I stopped eating these food but still I have this light headed feeling every day and sometimes it got worst for 2 days. I asked him to do a CT scan but told me that there arent any symptons why I should do it. I don't know what I should do more than I am doing. It's been 6 months now, with continous light headed feeling for 2 and a half months.
Now I decided to do some blood tests and then if the symptons persists I must persude the ENT to refer me for a CT scan.
Are there any one with vestibular migraine or positional vertigo, and did you found something that helped?
Thanks
