Need Some Advice....

Hi DeannaLynn. Have you had this kind of headache before? They say if you haven't had headaches previously and/or you get the worst headache of your life, you should go see a doctor. It sure sounds like migraines but you should be safe rather than sorry and have it checked out.

Just so you know, I was around your age, maybe a couple of years older, when I had my first migraine.

I had just turned 26 when I was diagnosed with chronic migraine.

My first migraine lasted for over a week. Thus why I finally went to the dr. I had taken insane amounts of over the counter pain relievers, none worked. The dr put me on Elavil & Cephadyn, told me not to take the OTC meds like that ever again, I'd kill my liver.

Yeah, I told her that I was over dosing myself with the OTC meds, cause I thought she needed to know, and I didn't mind taking that much OTC meds cause at the time I thought my headache would kill me first.

I still have them... sometimes 3 a week, but they're no where near as painful as my first one. And they usually just surge on and off for about half an hour and then go away without me having to take the Cephadyn.

Try to get the Elavil & Cephadyn, and I hope the migraine goes away. :)
