Glares in my vision

I believe what you are describing is called auras. They don't cause the migraines but a precursor or a warning that a migraine is coming. If you get them often and over the counter medications such as exception migraine don't help then you should see your doctor.
During the migraine try and stay in a darkened room with a cool rag on your head until it passes. Without more information on your specific symptoms that's all I've got. Let us know how you're doing.

I get these 'auras' before a migraine and from talking to other people they're pretty common. I know a migraine's coming as I get a blind spot in one eye, it comes on really suddenly, a bit like when you've looked at the sun by mistake or have had a photo taken with a flash, then I get zigzag lines and, for some reason, yawn a lot. about 20 minutes later I get the headache.
I can't really comment on your symptoms as I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like your symptoms are pretty common. It helps if you can identify triggers, like stress, certain food, tiredness.
I'm surprised your eye doctors have never heard of these symptoms though.
