I have been getting cluster migranes throughout years and it as bad as ever . I have had my migrane since Tuesday. I called my doctor and she gave me this . I just took it and was wondering what I could expect. Thanks

Hi, it's worked for me in the past, although sometimes I've had to take two doses. It usually works within 1 to 2 hours, and it can make you feel quite drowsy, so I would be cautious about driving once you've taken the dose. In my experience, it gets rid of the headache, but makes you feel a little spaced out. It is a good drug though, and hopefully will make you feel better, and a little more human! Good luck.

Hello,
I have had a bad headache for 5 days straight now all day everyday. I go to sleep with it and wake up with it. I have never experienced this before. a friend told me about imitrex and I want to take it but I also take Celexa daily. Does anyone know of these two are ok to take together?

I was also on Celexa and taking imitrex and I was fine. But I'm not sure how high of a dose you should be taking with each of them. you should probably talk to your doctor! hope you feel better c:

I take Imitrex when I am in severe pain, which is quite frequent.  Make sure to take with food.  Sometimes I feel a little warm and kind of "not so good" afterwards and other times I feel a little bit nauseated from it so I drink ginger ale.  The medication does work though and when you are in agony, you will take the other side effects just to get a little relief from the tremendous pain.  Good luck!

Call any pharmacy and inform them of what you are on and ask if you can take it. .
