Do you drink diet drinks? Chew gum or eat breath mints? Eat yoplait light yogurt, drink Crystal Light? If so, there's a very harmful chemical in these items, called aspartame. It's loosely considered an artificial sweetener and is in 6000+ food items along with many drinks. It's in Tang, Jello, some candy, so many, many food products, you need to read labels to be sure it's not in there - it goes by several names: Nutra Sweet, Phenylalanine, Acesulfame-K, Sunette, Aspartic Acid, etc. Avoid it. It can cause headaches. Along with 91 other side effects.
Soribitol isn't any better for us and it's in a lot of candy, Crest, Colgate and Aquafresh toothpaste. I now buy Tom's toothpaste (purchased at a health food store but now I see that Kroger's sells it).
If you have this in your system, eliminate it. Google it and you'll see all the warnings for it, despite them the FDA thinks it's safe for us to ingest.
