NEED MIGRAINE DOCTOR IN CHICAGO AREA

Ihave had chronic daily migraine for 3 years. Tried several medications, both preventive and abortive. Very unhappy with current doctor. Can anyone recommend a specialist in the Chicago/southwest suburban area?

Rush will take new patients fairly quickly - within a week or two. I saw Drs. Templer and Louis and they were personable and seemed very knowledgeable. I ended up switching to Northwestern doctors because that's where all of my other doctors are. They are tough to get in to and generally require another Northwestern referral. That being said, if you can get one, Drs. Burke and Carroll are great so far. I'm seeking treatment for chronic complex migraines and am currently on topiramate.

Thanks for your reply. Hope you have good luck with Topamax. I'm currently on 3rd anti-seizure med, so far not a lot of help, plus beta blocker -- still have daily headaches to varying degrees. I'll try Northwestern. Thanks, again.
