I have had pressure on my left temple with neck soreness for a month. I went to urgent care. The dr. Suggested i see a neurologist, her guesses were trigeminal neuralgia or PAD. I went to my chiropractor to adjust my neck and he suggested the same. I have not been to the neurologist yet.
I have done research on trigeminal neuralgia and it is supposed to be very painful. I dont feel much pain just a very distractig pressure/tingling on my left temple and sometimes my cheek. No other symptoms. No vision changes or anything else noteable.
If i massage my neck it is like pressing a button and the pressure disappears. I have been wearing an icy hot patch on my neck which helps a bit.
I am 28f and have a history of TMJ and chronic ear infections. I dont want to waste my time going to a neurologist to be a human guinea pig and have every test in thr book done if this is nothing serious. I am thinking its a chronic tension headache. I read that they can last many months. Anyone else have experience with this?
