I'm no expert, but I do use fiorocet with some good results, however I fear I have gotten into rebound as I wake each day with a headache. I am slowingly try to wean down from taking them daily and havent taken one in several days and am hanging in there. (not too happily tho!!)
about 3x a month the fiorocet is not enough and I take imitrex 100mg tabs. However they give me chest pains. My doctor says my heart is fine but i dont like the feeling. So I am going to a neurologist next Tues (been treated by GP) so i will see what they have to say.
I dont want to take imitrex, but i have tried other triptans and imitrex is the only one that works at all, although it does not completely eliminate the headache.
Back to fiorocet, I think fiorocet is good if you can use it sparingly (it has caffeine plus a sedative which help the headache and you feel pretty normal, the caffeine sort of eliminates the sedative affect).
Migraines run in my family, i also have sinus problems and am perimenopausal and have my worse headaches around period time.
Thanks for listening, and hope this helps.
