Has anyone tried Frova 2.5mg?

Hello,

I am not new to Healingwell. I am usually in the Hep C forum. I have a question as to the medication my Dr. gave me.

She gave me a few samples of Frova 2.5mg. I have not tried them yet. I have what I

think are migraines due to sinus trouble from alergies.  I live in Middle TN. where the alergies

are very bad!

Has anyone taken Frova 2.5mg before and did they help?

my husband has tried frova for Cluster Headaches, yes they did work for him, but unfortunately he had stomach probs with him (not very common).

i wish you well with it, and i hope it helps you

Thank you for respondidng I think I will leave the med alone! This is a new drug. From what I have read about it, it doesn't sound safe to take.

I take Frova for my menstrual migraines and they do the job IF I take them as a preventive measure as my doc prescribed They have also worked for me with other h/a's as long as I take them BEFORE the thing is full-blown.

As to the stomach problems -all the -triptans I have ever taken have caused me belly problems for  the next day or two.

Frova is the ONLY migraine med that has worked for me, and only when taken as ordered.  As a former nurse, every drug has side effects.  You just have to decide what you are willing to put up with.  This med only makes me sleepy.  I have a tremendous resistence to drugs so the fact this one makes me sleepy is good in my case.  chesswoman
