I haven't gone to see fireworks in a couple of years because my kids are so young. This year I had a great opportunity to see some really nice ones at a private CC party I was invited to. about
3/4 through they had some super loud and bright flashy ones. That's when I knew what was going to happen. I coul almost fell the switch click in my brain. I started turning to watch the kids a little instead of the show, but I really wanted to see the fireworks. I came home and took 2 Excedrein, we put the kids to bed and I drank some coke and sat down. After 30 minutes, the headache backed off, but I was up unitl 5 AM from all the caffiene.
Anyone else try watching fireworks? Maybe if I wore ear plugs, it would be better. The next day we saw some and I only watched for a few minutes and then walked away.
I'm having a headache now from a scare I woke up to with my 3 year old and a broken thermometer. This was the fastest, strongest one yet. I took the excederine and did the icepacks. The headache just slowed down, but I'm still nauseous. Luckily, its earlier, so I won't be up all night, unless I get another one later. I had stress-related insomnia last night (we are moving) and it probably left me vulnerable this morning.
Just found out from my aunt, that my maternal grandmother got migraines and that my cousin gets terrible ones with uncontrollable vomiting.
So, any comments on these triggers or the possiblity of inheriting the propensity for the disease, let me know. My grandmother, sister (who gets ocular migraine) and mother all have/had low bp which spikes after menopause. Its this related? Thanks for all the input. The computer is starting to hurt my eyes. I need to go somewhere dark.
