subluxations and headaches???????

Anyone have success w/subluxation treatment, Im on my third month of treatment and I still have not noticed any relief from my chronic daily headaches/pain.  My dr. informs me that it could take anywhere from 6 months to 12 months before I start to notice any relief.  Im trying to be patient and I do understand that Ive been in pain for 6yrs and it would take some time to break the cycle, however I'm getting FRUSTRATED and having my doubts about the treatment.  When I was diagnosed he told me that he was 100 perc sure that the subluxation ( first bone in neck dislocated and compressing against my brainstem) was the root of all my pain/ha.  He told me that w/1 yr of treatment he has a 99 perc success rate. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Healing Well. I have not come across subluxation treatment myself, but I hope soemone will come along that has either had it or knows something more about it. I hope you get some benefit from it, please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

im getting one today at 6 my time. I went last thursday. Cost an arm and a leg though.

Has anyone tried Migrelief, its feverfew, magnesium and riboflavin . Seems to be 3 good products in one. Im thinking of getting. Still confused about if i should get calcium

Hi!

Well I have had good luck with chirorpratic and adjustment to my Atlas which I believe is the first vertebrae of the cervical spiine.  I go for adjustments once a month and the recovery time and length of my headaches have greatly shortened.  My chiropractor has mentioned subluxations in my course of treatment.  You have to be consistent with it for good results.

Just a general everyone should know!!! Migrelief sounds like a great product. However, pregnant women should not take this product because it contains feverfew. Feverfew may cause fetal problems and miscarriage.

wow he said my neck the way it was its a death sentence. he said it was curved the opposite way and some bone in the back was a straight line when it should be diagnaol and lots of red showed up on the test. But im sure he could find something wrong with everyone.

Now i signed up paying 140 a month for a year. Go 3 times a week for the first month.

not sure ill go now, i dont have the money to go. Yet he pointed at my neck  and said it was bad. I feel no pain and no headache trouble before. Wonder how i can fix this myself , plus the better diet.

 I did a search and i might try 5 HTP supplement or feverfew with magnesium and b2

I went to two different chiropractors regularly for a long length of time and it didn't help with my migraines. I liked laying on the machine that rolls though. Wish I could just do that. I have a friend who gets her atlas bone adjusted. It is very different. They actually don't "crack." She described it as a tapping near the ear. I want to try it when I have the $ but why oh why does everybody need to take their own darn xrays? I have an MRI for goodness sake. I can't afford the xrays!

I don't have any experience of Chiropractors, except my Mum goes to one regularly. My biggest put off with this is the money side of things. Although I must say my Mum has back problems and gets a lot of relief from her visits to the Chiropractor!! - unfortunately so does her purse!!! lol

I have been taking Migraleif for several years, first as a recommendation from a friend, then as a suggestion from a top Neurologist.  I told him I was already taking the ingredients, so he was happy.  Me, on the other hand, I don't know that it does a daggone thing for my migraines.  I never felt any difference in my migraines, so I guess since it was recommened by a neurologist, it won't do me any harm.  I have to special order it from a private pharmacy in my town, which I do about every three months.  That runs $60 for the three months, which I guess I'll keep doing until somebody(DR) tells me not to take it any more.

Let me know how it works for you.
