Another Topamax Thread

Hi Lillian O,
I have been on 100 once daily for about 2 years. My hair is falling out. My nails break off and are paper thin. I have severe pain in my eyes. I cannot drive at night either. I have severe memory problems. I have severe leg, foot, arm, hand and finger pain. I can hardly walk due to the pain. I also have severe back pain, but that is due to degeneration of the spine and a spine birth defect. The topamax has helped my migraines. I have lost 20 lbs. If I go somewhere that I will have to walk for a long time, I have to get a wheel chair. The pain in my feet and legs is unbearable. I also have sarcoidosis. The doctors are not sure why I have the pain in my legs and feet. They suspect is either from the sarcoid or my back. I was wondering, did your symptoms go away after you stopped taking the topamax? Did you stop cold turkey or stop slowly? I have been all over the internet looking for information on Topamax because I feel like it is the root of my pain. It is very hard to find this kind of information. I found your story and it was like mine. So now, I know, it is the Topamax and I have to get off of it. I had daily migraines before I started taking it, but at least I could walk without pain. I look forward to hearing from you. I am sorry you went through what I am going through.

I do believe you also e-mailed me the 26th of october. You should have all of the information in my return e-mail. If not post on this forum when you get this and I will do my best to tell you about my experience with Topamax.
