Migraines and sinus symptoms

Hi..after 8 years of sinus issues and numerous ent's, a neuro has told me he thinks I have migrianes that are causing sinus symptoms.  Does anyone have these?  What helps??

hi Monika, I went down the sinus road too because sometimes my pain/throbbing included my sinus area and upper-teeth and right between the eyes. Sometimes, too, my nose would be a little stuffy. It's so confusing but I have been told by 2 different Neuros that migraine mimics sinus. A test to do would be to lean over and see if it "hurts" your sinuses. If it does, tell your doctor, it could actually be sinus but more often than not, it is not sinus and migraine shouldn't cause post nasal drip which usually accompanies sinus. Take a triptan med and see if it alleviates your head pain. If it does, it is most like migraine. Hope you feel better.

i was told sinus causes the migraines, not the other way around

That's really interesting! My goal has always been to address the cause of my migraines, not just treat the symptoms, so your comment opens a different "door" here. I went the ENT route about 15 years ago, but maybe there's new info out there to pursue. . . Along that line, do any other "sinus migraine" sufferers also have high eye pressures (usually determined by the puff-of-air test at the optometrist)?
