Hi Annuk, thanks for the reply and welcome. I do use oxygen to abbort and imitrex ingections--these seem to work most of the time. They just switched me to Tarka (which contains verapamil at 240mg), and I haven't noticed much difference yet. I am also taking periactin(?sp) as a preventative, but am pushing to get off of it (it's very dopey). I cycle 3-4 times a year, usually as the weather changes, and the cycles last 5 or so weeks. However, this one just seems to want to stick around--cluster ha, the shadows mixed with migraines are wearing me down...I am going to headache specialist Monday, as I am at the end of my rope. I have been reading alot on this site with the tingling/numbness/paralysis, etc. during headaches which I have had and have been hospitalized for. They have brought up migranous hemiplegia, stroke, but also have brought up many other dx's. Also, I have abnormal reflexes during my headaches, do you know if this is common (the doctors seem confused my it)? I was told that I am to old to be starting with migranous hemiplegia (its usually a childhood thing??), but it can happen...I hope you get the answers you need and take care!!
Sorry so long, and thanks!!
