I've had cluster migraines since last thursday and I'm ready to bite someone's head off!
Dr called me in a refill for butalbital but it's not really doing much - the ibuprofen helped me this morning more than the prescription. I get aura migraines which makes it worse beacause they are coming about 5 times a day and I am useless - can't see for an hour then another headache on top of hte already existing one. UGH.
anyone know a good drug I can suggest to my dr that does not cause heart palpitations or increase blood pressure>

Hello booboobum,

I'm sorry I don't have a medication to recommend. I've had a migraine for the past month and like you am ready to bite someone's head off. I'm having a terrible time getting along with people and it made a short trip down to Las Vegas very difficult.

I take morphine in the form of MS Contin for my headaches and it had been working up until Christmas. Now it's not, unfortunately. I find that a combination of T3s, Toradol, Gravol and Ativan works. I take a beta blocker to keep my blood pressure down.

I hope you find some relief. Keep us up to date.

Hi

I use Toradol to and that does seem to help some of the time. It comes in pill and injection form for at home use.

Also, I use oxygen and that works sometimes also, just depends...When you say cluster migraines, what are they like? Maybe oxygen would help you. I have cluster headaches, plus my migraine condition.

I have high blood pressure, and it is not well controlled at this point--trying hard with the doctors, just added another med for it--so hopefully that one will help...
