Has anyone out there lost all of their friends and have no family members that can count on you for anything?  I have no one to talk to that understands the problem.  I have 10-15 migraines a month that can be accompanied by vertigo.  The vertigo can come before or after a migraine and last as long as a week.  I did not have migraines until 2003.  I have long since lost my job and am waiting on a hearing for disability.  I missed my son's wedding and needless to say, my young grandchildren hardly know me. In addition to migraines I also have fibromyalgia. My husband whom I married in Dec. 2003 tries to be understanding, but I don't think he signed up for this trip.  I could use a friend that knows what it is like to be in so much pain.  I am holding on for dear life.

 

I want to beat this.  Anyone have an ear?

Oh, I feel for you and your situation.  I can only imagine what you are going through. 

My husband has migraines and has been unable to leave the house without me for months now.  He doesn't drive anymore and is very nervous about being around too many people.  He is only 63 but it has taken a hard toll on him.

This is a great forum to seek a sympathetic ear as all of us have some of what you are dealing with.

Are you on any medications?  Have you seen a neurologist?

I'm 22, and have lost a lot of friends, and jobs due to my migraines/illnesses.
My mom is my best supporter.
I wish you the best, and am so sorry you suffer so much too.
have you seen a migraine specialist tried /prevents/abortives/pain meds???

Check out the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers, Inc.  There are many of them all over the country.  They have been doing some amazing research in treating fibromyalagia.  One of the side benefits has been an almost complete cease to their patients migraines.  I provided a link for you, I hope that is alright on this thread.
