frovatriptan

Hi Fisherman,

I do not use Frovatriptan, but it is like Imitrex but the effects of it last longer. It is one of the triptans so it is an abortive medication. Please pay close attention to how many be taken in any 24 hr period, I believe it is only 2!

This medication takes a lot longer than Imitrex to work, it can take up to 2 hours! Hope this helps.

Hey fisherman,

Frova is used to "abort" or stop a migraine from coming on.  It should be taken as soon as you feel a migraine beginning.  It does come with a laundry list of possible side effects.  Ask your pharmacist for a printout of information on the medication.  It should answer most of your questions.
