Hey Somedayishere,
I'm right there with you regarding the low blood pressure issue. I'm a 90/60 girl myself. I have been through ALL the preventative medications used to deter migraine attacks, and none of them have ever worked for me. Over the years, the frequency of my migraine attacks has increased astronomically. I'm most subseptible to weather changes. Spring and Summer are miserable for me. I have the same problems with meds. I've seen so many doctors and specialists, nobody wants to be responsible for writing script for the medication I need to handle the migraines, and to stay comfortable with my chronic pain problems.
Living in a small town is hard. In my town, there is a centralized database system, which all medical facilities have access. I see several doctors for different problems, but if I get pain meds for specific problems, it's like the end of the world if I seek treatment for some other problem.
I can only function if I can take narcotic medications on a regular basis. I've had a problem with internal bleeding, so I can't take NSAIDS anymore. My stomach is all torn up, due to having a gastric bypass and dumping so many meds into such a tiny location. I recently just spent four days in the hospital for internal bleeding. They kept me on Dilaudid for the pain, but they couldn't tell where the bleeding was coming from, so they sent me home with some Percocet. None of my doctors will prescribe my regular pain meds now until I see the Gastroenterologist again. That appointment is two weeks away.
I think I'm going to switch back to my old Primary Care Physician. I have been going to a clinic for a couple of years, but now that I'm on SS Disablility, I can switch back to the doctor I had from the time I was 12. I know him and he knows me, so I think it will be easier to deal with him, instead of the doctors de'jour.
I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired.
