Shooting pain in left side of face which wakes me

Hi, for a few months now, I've been having an on-off pain in my left temple. When I lay on my right side and try to sleep, just as I am about to drop off I get a shooting pain which spreads from my temple right down neck and over the left side of my face which wakes me. When I sleep on my left side, this doesn't happen.

I often have a sore neck, and have to move it from side to side to 'crack' it, and sometimes gives me a headache in the back of my head. Has anyone and ideas what this could be ?

Hi ste1200,

Sorry to hear about the pain you have been experiencing. We do not have any medical training here and are therefore unable to diagnose, we can only express a personal opinion.

I think the best thing you can do is go and see your Doctor about it as he/she is best to advise you here.

Please let us know how you get on?
