Week long headache

I'm 17 years old and got sick about a week ago with a fever, cough, and headache. The fever was gone in two days but i still have a headache and a cough. I went to see a doctor yesterday and i told the doctor tylenol helped it a little bit and he said it can't be anything serious then, he told me i just have a virus. I was just wondering if anyone here knows for sure if that's true.

There has been a couple days out of the week where i have felt weak but doesn't last all day. I got the headache when i got sick so figured it was just because of that. Like i said, the doctor said it can't be anything serious if tylenol is helping a little bit but i don't know if that's true. I also still have a cough so do you think it really is just a virus?
