Within the last several months I have been suffering from terrible migraines and my doctor finally sent me to a neuro. I had a MRI and MRA and a CT Scan with Dyecast done. They came to the conclusion that I have beading blood vessels, arnold chari malformation and as the doctor put it I was wasn't "wired" right. I also had to keep a log of my headaches. A month long migraine is what put me in this spot. I take imitrex as needed and topamax everyday twice a day and then steroids usually predisone when the headaches are acting up. Nothing was working! My husband who is usually very understanding was sick of hearing me complain that I was dying a slow death.
Going back for another headache and more meds, I showed her my log and she said I couldn't eat cheese anymore. I know that is a common trigger but all of a sudden out of nowhere? I've been trying different cheeses and no luck with any.....within a hr usually I'm popping a pill and calling myself a dummy. I did the DHE IV and had an reaction that was NO fun. I feel most of the headaches are triggered from my sinuses. Does anyone have any input on this? I'm new to the site and I've been checking out books about migraines and I thought talking to people who actually deal with them might be better.
Thanks!
