I have been suffering with migraines for over 12 years. Been to neurologists, had tests done, from reading others blogs I know ya'll can relate to my pain...literally!! The neurologist I have now is working with me to prevent my headaches but lately they have been bad. He doesnt seem to want to try anything new, just change my dosages and I'm not happy with that so I am looking for a change. He is also VERY strict with my pain medication. I am not a drug addict, Im a migraine sufferer! Trust me if I had the choice I would rather be at work or at school instead of in bed with the covers over my head with my fist crammed in my forehead hoping that any minute now the Zomig, Norco, phenergan or Demerol will kick in. I seem to end up in the ER at least once a month and we all know that is the LAST place we want to be. There are a lot of "headache" specialists in NC but I dont want to drive 3 hours to see one, get my hopes up and get let down again. Opinions mean a lot from people who have been there and done that. I am looking for doctor who will listen to me and not think I am just wanting pain killers. I also want to try botox? Has anyone had success with that? What about
other alternative therapies? I feel like I am on SOOO many medications already. Don't get me wrong, if they do they job then I am more than happy to take them but if something else will work then by all means I will give it a try!
Thanks,
Kelley
