Watch out for the Nubain so often because it gets you out of the headache today but brings the next headache on sooner, even a couple of days later. Get off the opiates, find something else for a while. You need to find a neurologist you can work with long term -- one who will listen carefully and try to adjust things to fit your patterns.
You have to do your part -- write down very clearly the key facts you know about your headaches. Do it when your head is clear. Morning? Night? Mealtimes? Triggers? Monthly? How does the headache start? Anything you notice before the pain? What is the location of the pain, what is the shape of the painful region? Does it change with pressure, etc. Get it clear, winnow it down, get it as correct as you can. When you travel to other parts of the country what happens and where was it? Allergy related? Not associated with weather changes or is it? Seasonal? So you really can help yourself if you get these details down.
