Rebound headache from meds help!

Hi everyone!

Just curious- to those of you who take pain meds on a regular basis, do you ever get MAJOR  headaches, what feel like migranes, but all the time in relation to taking pain meds?  I'm on oxycodone

(and have been for a very long time now and DO NOT plan on trying anything new or changing since I have tried and been through everything under the sun..).

but I wanted to know how do you guys handle the severity of these headaches from what I think is being caused by medications?  I have to take the oxy's no matter what because the pain is just so unbearable and I'd rather deal with these headaches, but they are BAD.... they don't go away and get so severe by the end of the night that I'm so dizzy, naseau and can't even open my eyes for the most part.

Just seeing if anyone else goes through this because of their medications and what helps.

Headaches are a side effect of oxycodone. If it continues to be bothersome please contact your doctor. Remember, we are all patients here, and not a persons with a MD

Yes, I understand that and I'm fully aware of it. I wasn't looking for "medical advice"... I was asking if anyone had this problem AS WELL and what they were doing to treat it.  Forums are for people usually for support or to relate or to help each other.

Jennca..I have edited your post and would like you take a look at the forum rules again.

I understand your frustration and understand that you are looking for someone with similar experiences, HOWEVER, you can not come on here and treat other people poorly becuase they response to you isn't what you asked for.

Please feel free to re-state your question and overlook responses that are not what you are looking for. I do thank posters who respond even though they may not have the same exact experience, they have taken the time to offer whatever information they deem necessary.

Smurfy is following the rules by simply stating that we are not doctors and therefore can not give a diagnosis-she did not say that was what you were looking for. Let's try this again :-)
