acute confusional migraine

in 2007, i was a female who had just turned 13, it was the day of my 13th birthday party. I was at church when I started getting a headache. then I kept seeing 'aura's mine were little flashing lights. when we left church, it was the worst pain of my life. I went home, took 2 motrin, and cried it hurt sooooooo bad. my dad ended up taking me to the urgent care it hurt so bad. when I got there, I could feel the pain starting to go away as I sat in the waiting room, my mind and head just felt sorts numb. the doctor came in and saw me, asked me qustions and I tried to answer. however, I lost my speech, everything I said was a blur. I couldn't remember anything, even my dad.the next thing I know, I went into sometype of scan. when I came out, there was an ambulance waiting to take me dontown, they thought I was having some type of aneurism. the doctor who met me at the ambulance started asking me questions. I had no idea who I was, and I could not talk my speech was so blurred. the next thing I remember is waking up in some type of scan, puking, and the doctor in the ICU telling me the pediactric neurologist would see me shortly. by then my episode was over, and I had been diagnosed with an acute confusional migraine. needless to say my party was cancelled. I still to this day have migraines and headaches, but none like that. anyone else ever see this?

yea, I too can go a long time without a migraine, only about two per year. that's why my neurologist gave me Furaset to take if I can feel one coming on, when I get the aura's and nausea.
