My 20 year old daughter has been suffering from migraines so after many tests her neurologist finally put her on topamax. He briefly made a comment about
her birth control being less effective while on this med. I suggested an alternate form of birth control and he suggested folic acid to boast the effectiveness of her birth control pill for a few months until we see if the topamax will work. Of course my naive daughter trust this doctor's advice and thinks she is covered but I am very skeptical and afraid. She has had a serious boyfriend for over a year so it makes it even more scary. When I talked to her about
it she said "the doc said it was fine, you worry to much" What are your thoughts???? Has anyone ever heard of this???
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
