Hi all,
I dont post too often in the migraine forum, but have suffered with them since I was about 15. I am now 25 and pregnant with my second child. Before becoming pregnant I was taking inderal dailey for migraines, relpax for migraines and esgic for tension headaches. Of course I went off these drugs before I became pregnant and have really suffered for doing so. A little background, I also have Ulcerative Colitis,IBS and vertigo(and a some nerve damage on the top left side of my forehead and scalp from shingles last may...not sure if this contributes to more increased migraine or not).
Anyway...My headaches and migraines went from one to two bad ones a month to one a week, and now I find I have a headache or migraine more often then I do not have one. It has been really diffucult to even function because I cant really take anything for them(except tylenol, and you all know that doesnt help a migraine). I was reading up on the internet about "natural" rememdies for Migraines so I can get some relief soon!!! I have had this "hang over" feeling now since the end of a two day migraine that began on Thursday. I shouldnt even be on the computer,I know it makes it worse. So...I read something about going to a health food store and getting some type of pepper and putting one seed on a tootpick and snifing it up your nostrils. I dunno, but this sounds weird to me. I have always been taught not to stick anything up your nose. But,I am at the point now if I have heard of other people that have done this and it helps them, then I may just try it. Has anyone heard of this? I know it probaly sounds silly, but I am going nuts and willing to try anything safe to my baby at this point. Thanks:)
