Hi
I'm new to this forum, just trying to find some answers.
I'm 22 years old and have been suffering from focal Migraines since the birth of my daughter 3 years ago.
If you don't know focal migraines cause immobility in sufferers. Mine begin with lost or blurry vision, then pins and needles or numbness in my face that travels down the right hand side of my body finishing off with the inhability to speak, move my right arm or see. After this (about 60 minutes) the headache hits and immobilised for 24-48 hours.
The first time I had one I ended up in hospital and they thought I was having a stroke. After tests they told me it was JUST a migraine. Fast forward a few years and I have a new doctor who is very concerned about my migraines.
I am in a high risk bracket for strokes and have to see a neurologist and have tests annually. It's quite upsetting and scary.
I haven't had one since February and I'm hoping I don't get another too soon.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
C
