Help-Throbbing Headache & Taste in the mouth at same time

mad  Help!- I have been getting a recurring throbbing headache, that centers at the top of my spine where it meets my skull on the right side. At virtually the same time I get a taste in my mouth, not a metallic taste, just a bad taste.

Along with the taste and throbbing, I often feel flushed, and extremely fatigued. I have recently had kidney stones (May 2011), and more recently (epiditamitis, July/August 2011). I ran through a 3 week cipro course for the epiditimitus.

I thought the yucky feeling I had was related to either or both, but now am not sure.

I am very active, and I have never had a history of headaches before. Any thoughts?

I too, suffer from the symptoms that you describe. My headache includes the bad taste and chills/on the right side of my body. I also have a warning as to when it is going to come. It lasts about a minute or so, but then I am left with a low-grade headache.

Have you gained any insight as to the cause of your headache? I haven't had kidney stones or epiditamitis, and hadn't had a history of headaches before myself. The first time I had this type of headache was a couple of years ago, but it had only happened once, and didn't have it again until this past summer. But then in the fall, it started again but more frequent, and today it happened three times in one day.
