Although you have had migraines since your were 8 are there any triggers? When I was a child I was diagnosed with cluster headaches. I noticed once I was an adult that soda, tea and chocalate were triggers or monthly cycle would bring on a migraine. I hope you find relief soon. Maxalt helps me when I take it with the Toradol and Imitrex. Once the maxalt melt I get quiet and my headache usually slack up into a dull ache instead of a pounding ache.
My neurologist prescribed Imitrex tablets, Imitrex injection, Maxalt, Treximet and Toradol. I do a triad and it helps. i.e. I take the Toradol/Imitrex tab/maxalt or Toradol/Maxalt/Injection or treximet/toradol/injection. It puts me to sleep but it was prescribed for me. When I wake up, the headache is gone. It helps tremendously. Ask your neurologist what he thinks about trying you on two or three meds consecutively. It may sound like I'm over medicated but it helps. I also have Lupus and it brings on migraines to (I believe). I'm newly diagnosed and don't know much about Lupus. But I understand your pain and hope your neurologist call you back, if not, call them back. Oh, regarding your stomach pain from vomiting I used mylanta/pepto. It somewhat coated my stomach. Now I take Famatodine on a daily.
Keep calling your Neuro until you gain results. Maybe the nurse wrote your number on a sticky without a name. Call them first thing in the morning!
