Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and would like to ask if any one has had the symptoms of this awfull rare hm that have lasted for months after an attack!! Please read below and get in touch if u have also had the same.
My hm started off by feeling very tired one morning followed by a loss of vision in my right eye which lasted about 10 mins. After this i had a massive haedache i lost feeling in my right arm and become very confused and memory was bleak, i went to A&E which i waited around 4 hours to be seen just to be told i had stress!!! With that i was sent home only to return by ambulence 2 days later with the headache still present. I could not walk, talk feel my face, arm or hand this was all one sided, felt very sick, had stiff neck and was having convoulsions. I was so scared i thgt i was having a stroke.
I stayed in hospital for 4 days which is when i discovered i could not even cut a pototoe using my right hand.
I had lots of test carried out including head scans. I was then told i had FHM (feminal hemipledgic migraine).
All this happened in sept 2011 it took me around 8 weeks to even be able to walk which even now i sometimes have difficultly and i tend to walk to one side and into other people,, very embarrassing.
I still have headaches on a daily basis, pain above and in my right eye and always very tired.
Thank you for taking your time to read my post, Please comment if your syptoms are also still present. x
