Numbness feeling in head?

Hello, I've been suffering from migraines for almost a year now. I recently caught a cold, just the typical congestion and sinus type of thing. But all today, I've noticed this weird feeling in my head. Everything I touch my head, I get this strange numbness feeling in my head/ neck area. It's really starting to scare me that it's something serious. Has anyone experienced this? Is it due to migraines, stress....? I don't want to go to the doctors because they'll probably just tell me it's due to the cold, but I have never ever had this happen before. Please help!
