Hi, I'am new to this site and suffer from migraines. But just in the last few weeks I have one everyday and it never goes away. It is not always severe but always a little twinge in the back of my head near the hair line and in my eye and one sided.They vary from side to side but mostly on the left side. I take imitrex which I call my miracle drug but with these headaches it is different.I have not had to take a imitrex since last wednesday because sometimes they go away on their own or I can handle it until bed and sleeping all night gets rid of them until the next afternoon. When I take imitrex my pain goes away for days but not with these headaches. I get them at the end of the afternoon and I go to bed with presure under my neck and when I wake up they are gone but come back. Sometimes I have my husband massage my shoulder blade area on the side when my headache is and that sometimes helps.
I had a cat scan in 2000 and was normal and had a MRI today but I'am very panic stricken because they did'nt comment on the results, just said your all set. Do they normally not tell you the results that day and you have to wait until your doctor tells you the results? If it was a serious condition they saw would they act on it ASAP with the Dr? Should I worry that they did'nt tell me anything at the MRI appointment?
I don't have any other symptoms with my headaches just the fact they are not going away totally. Ia'm wondering if they are cluster headaches. Can your headache patterns change? Sorry to go on and on.
