For years I have gotten sinus headaches, or pressure headaches, when the barometric pressure changes. In the past they were easily controlled by over-the-counter sinus medications along with ibuprofen. Lately the headaches have become much worse, more frequent, and not controlled by the OTC sinus meds. The headaches no longer stick to the front of my face, but seem to have turned into migraines that last all day. I have switched to Excedrin Migraine medication, which helps to some extent but doesn't fully eradicate the pain or pressure.
At what point should I seek medical help? Is it okay to take something like Excedrin Migraine daily? Is it the frequency, the duration, the level of pain or what that means I need a Dr to check into it? And what kind of Dr do I start with?
Thanks so much for your thoughts & suggestions.
