No he does not.
I have tried 6 med combos and now am on the one that works only 2 meds.
I finally made an appointment at John Hopkins in Md. It was that or go to the Cleveland something....
Point is I received a correct Diagnosis in 2009. See my signature. TN. HC ATFP. My pain level is daily a 3-4, very managable.
My neuro just passed and I have just started seeing a doc at the Thomas Jefferson Headache Clinic in Phila. My pain has ramped up to a 7-9 daily in the past 6 mos. This tends to happen, stress, meds need adjusting, weather changes, etc...
3 weeks ago new doc upped one med 100mg per day over 2 weeks and gave me a 10day 'break the pain cycle med' I am back down to 2-4 daily on the 0-10 pain scale.
NEVER NEVER NEVER give up.
Call your insurance, see if they have a transportation coverage for specialists when referred. I you don't know unless you ask. These docs are FLOODED with people with headaches.
I am not belittling pain for anyone, however, One persons "head exploding" is another persons 'hangnail" so the docs just process clients as they can. Most don't even look at your face, unless questions are asked directly.
I wish you and your son the best, Please let us know how you make out.
Get mad Mom and use that energy to be proactive.
