Migraine Headache's When Laying Down

I am a 56 yr old guy and have had migraine headaches on and off for the past 7 years,MRI scan done 7 yrs ago and was all fine. From June/2015 to July.12/16 they was gone,no headaches for a one yr period. After July.12/16 the headaches came back. This time they were not random like before. Now I get them every time,every day when I lay down at night, or even anytime laying down on couch watching TV,sometimes when I first get up in the morning off the bed it will hit me.During the day when I am up and about cutting grass and doing daily stuff I am ok,never even a normal headache.It starts as pain in the top jaw, all teeth hurting bad on the right top jaw, light at first and then very intense after about 10 minutes. Then pain then creeps behind my right eye,throbbing,right temple, and behind right ear, and back right corner above the neck, always on the right side.Intense pain lasts anywhere from 10 min up to 30 min tops then usually goes away fast, sometimes lingering. My Doc put me on MaxAlt and Naproxen but does not work all the time. Another MRI scan is scheduled soon to do. I went to a chiropractor for a exam and he says I have 3 Vertebrae's out of alignment, one on the very top, another a little down and another around mid back. Could this be the cause on my migraines when I lay down, its the only time I get them. The Chiro did one adjustment 2 days ago and it made my neck feel good but the headaches still come when I lay down. I have 3 more chiro sessions booked for this coming week so I will see if they help at all. Any input on my Laying Down Migraine's will be greatly appreciated...

Hello, i know what migraines are like, I'm an 18 year old girl who been hospitalized for months with migraines, i been on every migraine medications including this one, and not 1 is working or been helping, When i go to the hospital for a migraine, i always become hospitalized, migraines suck for me!! The doctors here told me that they haven't seen a person suffer from migraines like me... I might be needing brain surgery because i also have a weak blood vessel, but that isn't what is causing my migraines... I been suffering from migraines since i was 6 years old... The symptoms i get are: Blurry vision, sensitivity to light, sound and noise, vomiting, nausea, sometimes dizziness, and fainting, and there are a lot more... I get migraines every single day and in a month, I get 28 migraines.. I had scans done, everything done and nothing is working or helpful..

I would ask you doctor about topiramate,its a migraine preventive drug .I take 1-25 mg in the morning and 2-25mg pills in the evening.It took 3 days for me to start working and on the 3rd night no more migraines and a full night of sleep.I have been on these meds for almost a month now and I have not had a single migraine. The only side effect I found while on this is a slight tingling sensation on the fingertips which went away in about week. Ask your doc about this drug, it shure helped me alot.Hope you start feeling better. Take care..
